Shapes reminiscent of the 50's and 60's re-emerge in various ways bringing the sophistication and femininity of that time into a new age. Romantic blouses, tunics and dresses in sheer prints encompass the vintage aspect of the range and include delicate details such as flutter sleeves, ruffled plackets and necklines.

For the modern 'must-haves' we've introduced 'the flattering workplace pant' which is making a fast return to the market - much more forgiving than the skinny pant! The new silhouette sits at the waist, close to the hip, easing out over the thigh with the hem just touching the floor to elongate the leg. The minimal waist detail works best for versatility and the curvier shape which, when worn with our many hip length crew neck tops, cardis and sweaters gives a true balance. A slim pencil skirt offers a fresh, chic alternative to full bottoms. We've done two - one in ponte with contrast waistband and exposed zipper finishing at the knee, and the other, a pull on in a textured double knit cocooning the body.

Throughout the range, Scope acknowledges high-low hemlines gaining ground with longer back panels, the cowl neckline tee projecting easy elegance, the use of contrasting fabrics, patterns and colours put together to make visual impact. The darker mood of winter is captured by the various structural collar shapes in our jackets and coats which add drama and frame the torso giving volume and a luxurious look.

In knitwear we've mixed up a variety of stitch patterns with asymmetric cable placements to create an alternative to allover traditional patterns. We've used fine gauges in our 100% wool styles and 3-5gauge in our 'chunkier' knits to give a complete package of what Winter 2012 has on offer.

We've embellished our styles with various button styles that add character and charm, toggles that are functional yet stylish, "D" rings that offer a utilitarian look, striped grosgrain ribbon adding visual interest andeven embroidery done in subtle hues to create items that are unique.
